Standing Strong Together
Who Will Lead the Waynesboro Democrats for the Next Two Years? Could it be you?
How the Waynesboro Democrats Are Organized-
The Waynesboro Democratic Party has three levels of participation:
• All Democrats – Anyone who considers themselves a Democrat is a member of the Party.
• The Committee – A governing body of up to 20 elected members who make decisions on behalf of the larger group.
• Officers – Four leadership positions elected by the Committee: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Why We Hold a Caucus
Every two years, local Democratic Committees in Virginia are required to hold a caucus. This process allows members to:
• Elect Committee members and Officers
• Affirm or change leadership
• Bring in fresh ideas and perspectives
